In South Africa, DTI is responsible for managing foreign investments. It provides one-stop services to investors, including verifying and granting company license, certificates and permits, providing consultations, and assisting investors with relevant applications. In addition, Provincial Investment Promotion Agencies (PIPAS) assist DTI in foreign investments, trade and exports, international relations and cooperation agreements of South Africa. There are other investment authorities: South African Revenue Service, the National Economic Development and Labor Council and the Board For Regional Industrial Development.
