The Shanghai Cheyu Network Technology Co., Ltd. (“Cheyu”) is located in No. 600 Ningqiao Road, Jinqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (SHFTZ). Its main businesses include the design, R&D, and production of in-car intelligent hardware, cloud services for Internet of Vehicles (IoV), and value-added services supporting in-car scenarios.
With members coming from internationally well-known internet companies and intelligent hardware companies, the founding team of Cheyu boasts long-term experience in R&D and sales of in-car hardware products and a deep understanding of product needs of OEMs. They can quickly respond to OEMs’ requirements for in-car hardware and provide high-quality automotive regulations-certified products, and has led the R&D, production, and operations of multiple in-car digital products of many domestic auto brands.
As China's automotive industry matures, domestic OEMs have shifted their focus to areas outside Mainland China. As a partner of those OEMs, Cheyu is also ready to explore overseas markets.
In September 2018, promoted by Cheyu, a long-established Malaysian automaker reached a cooperation intention with China Radio International (CRI) and Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM). They plan to install a networked streaming application in an automotive central control system of the Malaysian auto brand. The application will be placed with Chinese and Malaysian audio programs of CRI and RTM which will realize networked play throughout Malaysia. This system will be the first networked IoV service in Southeast Asia, whose streaming player and contents control platform will both be developed and deployed by Cheyu. Currently, the development of this system's software and cloud services has been completed and the technology transfer is winding down. The vehicle type equipped with this system is expected to be put into mass production in 2020 and realize an annual sales volume of 250,000 in Malaysia in 2022.
At the China International Auto Products Expo (CIAPE) in 2018, Cheyu reached sales and agency cooperation with customers from Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Laos, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Russia. The sales of Cheyu’s products and services are expected to grow rapidly in overseas markets in the near future.
By cooperating with global OEMs, content providers, and hardware suppliers and drawing on innovative product forms, leading technologies, and the capability of integrating a complete supply chain, Cheyu keeps expanding overseas service boundaries, cooperates with customers worldwide in various fields, and integrates local resources to build a one-stop scenario-based services system for overseas customers.
