Shanghai View Film and Television Co., Ltd. is a professional film and television documentary production company. It is also a member of the Documentary Academic Committee of China Television Artistic Association, an executive director of the Shanghai Radio Film and Television Production Industry Association, and a vice-chairman of the Documentary Committee of Shanghai Radio and Television Society. It is also known as one of the creators of the CCTV documentary Creation Base (Pilot).
This is a creative team which perfectly combines collection, editing, directing, and production. It takes the creative approach of looking at the world through the eyes of the innocent to appreciate its colors, while favoring an open-minded approach to the whole complex history of the subject matter. The team begins by organizing a large number of interviews and investigations and distilling the essence of real life so that it can make an objective analysis and rational judgment of any materials they use, whether they are simple, legendary, rational, or complex. At the same time, the team itself provides a human narration with a uniquely connotative meaning.
With a consistently broad vision, Shanghai View Film and Television observes all kinds of different things in this colorful world. It describes the various different lives experienced by humans around the world, and transforms these lives into stories to bring them to the attention of the general public.
Some of its key documentaries: “Super Equipment” about industrial manufacturing, “Imperial Examination,” “Legend of Iron Blood,” “Eliminate Traitors,” “the Revolution of 1911,” “Financial Storm,” “The Northern Warlords,” and “The Assassin” about various historical subjects, “Good Will Hunting” and “Outlaw Trail” about human psychology.
Some of its key film and television programs: documentary “North of Suspicious,” the films “I'm Crazy for My Blind Date” and “Beautiful Fairy Tales,” and TV series “The Riddle of Life and Death,” “Wild Woman,” “I’m Happy Because You Are Happy,” and “Pigeon.”
