Left Pocket Studio is an elite creative animation company. Focusing on the creation of "original, high quality animations", its goal is to provide excellent animations and other products to offer a high quality audio-visual experience and entertainment to viewers in China and beyond.
Since it was established in 2012, the company has successively produced a number of award-winning original works. The original project "Emmy & Gooroo", which took three years to incubate, has won a number of domestic and international awards. It was the global champion at the 2014 Festival de Cannes TV awards, the first time it was awarded to a team from China, or even Asia. That year, it also won the US-Asia pre-school TV PITCHIT Award. In 2015, it was included in the National Creative Cartoon Brand Development and Protection Program by China's Ministry of Culture. In 2017, it was selected as an outstanding national TV animation by the State Administration of Radio and Television (SART). Emmy & Gooroo has established cooperation with partners in South Korea, the Middle East, Europe, South America, Africa, and many other countries, and has been broadcast on video platforms such as Youtube and Netflix.
In October 2017, Left Pocket Studio and the Regional Authority of the Canary Islands in Spain held a press conference to announce the company's establishment of a European office. In Malaysia, Left Pocket Studio has established cooperation with The One Academy and the University of Science Malaysia to provide regular workshops and lectures. In China, Left Pocket Studio is a talent training base for the Shanghai Institute of Visual Art. It serves as a bridge for exchange and cooperation among professionals in the animation industry at home and abroad.
On the eve of the Spring Festival 2018, Left Pocket Studio was selected as a delegation member for the 2018 Happy Spring Festival - Animation Carnival in Nigeria.
In March 2018, Left Pocket Studio coordinated the Chinese Contribution to the Annecy International Animation Festival and Market, helping young Chinese animation directors to gain access to world-class platforms and resources.
