China International Import Expo
The China International Import Expo is an exhibition organised to promote China's "One Belt One Road" Initiative. The first exhibition will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (Shanghai) from 5-10 November, 2018.
Hosting the China International Import Expo is a major step by the Chinese government that shows its firm commitment to trade liberalization and economic globalization and its initiative to open up China's markets to the world. The Chinese government sincerely welcomes political figures, professionals from industry and commerce, exhibitors and professional buyers from around the world to participate in the exhibition and expand their share in China's market. China is ready to work with other countries and international organisations to make the China International Import Expo a world-class exhibition that can open up new channels for all countries to develop trade and cooperation, and promote the common prosperity of the global economy.
China is the second largest economy and the second largest importer and consumer in the world. In the next five years, China will import goods and services worth over 10 trillion US dollars, providing historical opportunities for companies from around the world to enter the Chinese market.
Enterprises from more than 100 countries and regions will attend the first China International Import Expo, where there will be supply and demand matchmaking events, industry seminars, product release conferences, and more. The sponsor will ensure smooth customs clearance, inspection, quarantine and permanent online and offline one-stop transaction services, and improve measures for the protection of intellectual property rights, to protect the rights and interests of merchants.
The sponsor will also arrange for enterprises from China to attend various purchasing events based on their place of origin, and invite overseas merchants to attend the Expo. It is expected that there will be 150,000 professional buyers in attendance.
