China International Cartoon & Game Expo
The China International Cartoon & Game Expo (CCG EXPO) is a comprehensive exhibition for cartoons and gaming, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal Authority, and co-hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV, and the China National Centre for Development of the Animation & Games Industries. As of 2017, it has been successfully held for 13 consecutive years. After 13 years of development, the CCG EXPO has evolved from being just another animation and games exhibition into a benchmark in this field.
As a brand, CCG EXPO encompasses a wide range of activities in addition to the exhibition held in July each year, including conferences, forums, overseas promotions and exhibition activities as well as related events and product development.
In 2017, CCG was comprehensively upgraded to launch the annual international marketing fair for Chinese cultural products under its "One Belt One Road" section, to enhance the international cooperation efforts carried out under the "Belt and Road" Initiative in the animation and gaming industries. An independent exhibition area covering 600 square metres, with a "One Belt One Road" theme was opened for the first time in the centre of the exhibition hall to showcase the animation and game content of countries from the "One Belt One Road" region.
Forums were also held on the theme of international cooperation under the "One Belt One Road" Initiative in the animation and gaming industries. The annual CCG EXPO has become a specialised, international, and large-scale high-level animation and games fair. In 2018, CCG will continue to host the "One Belt One Road" special exhibition, display the animation and games products of various countries, present the leading trends and latest achievements of international cooperation in the animation and gaming industries, and provide opportunities for international business negotiations.
