Cruise supply is an important part of the cruise industry chain. Shanghai’s cruise supply industry has developed rapidly in recent years, but it has a long way to go before achieving the goal of building a first-class international cruise port. Seven organizations including Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal Development Co., Ltd. have made joint preparations for the establishment of Shanghai Cruise Supply Association in the last two years. At the CIIE International Cruise Service and Trade Summit Forum, a supporting event of the first China International Import Expo held on December 10, Shanghai Cruise Supply Association was officially unveiled. At present, the association has a total of 35 members, including ship suppliers, cruise companies, agents and service companies, logistics companies, research institutes, platform enterprises, cruise ports and other related organizations.

The establishment of Shanghai Cruise Supply Association will bring new vigor and vitality into the development of city’s cruise economy. The association aims to “set world-class standards and promote sustainable and sustainable development of the cruise supply industry” and strives to meet the requirements for “serving companies and regulating and developing the industry”. It will serve as an effective bridge between companies, the industry and the government, and develop into a platform that actively promotes exchanges and cooperation among cruise supply related companies and a training base for industry professionals, thus pushing forward healthy, orderly and sustainable development of the industry.

As the department supervising the business of Shanghai Cruise Supply Association, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce will fully support the association in cooperation, self-discipline, industry regulation and innovation, integrate the advantages of various organizations in the industry, and help to create a healthy environment for development of cruise supply, so as to constantly enhance the development of the cruise supply industry in Shanghai.
